Congratulations to @RipCurlAU for leading the way on local renewable action with a latest installation of 325 solar panels at its Torquay headquarters.
The total capacity of the system is 100kW, adding to an existing 120-panel 30kW system installed on its warehouse last year.
Rip Curl has also installed energy efficient LED lighting throughout its buildings, modelling the logic of Council’s Renewable Energy Taskforce by focusing first on reducing energy demand and then looking at on-site generation.
To help more businesses do the same Surf Coast Renewable Energy Taskforce will be running a free information breakfast early in 2019 to explain how solar can benefit your business. See the Surf Coast Shire website for more information on the Renewable Energy Taskforce

Pictured marking switch-on of the panels is Rip Curl environmental committee chairperson Shasta O’Loughlin, Council CEO Keith Baillie, Rip Curl operations manager Sam O’Dwyer, Mayor David Bell and Eco Choice Solar managing director Brenton Flynn.
