Council has identified that many of our home based businesses belong to the creative industries sector.

We would like to build our relationships with home based businesses to support the growth and development of our creative industries.

Did you know Regional Australia Institute (RAI) recently ranked the Surf Coast in the top five creative communities across the nation - number four, beating the Gold Coast!

• Advertising and marketing

• Architecture, design and visual arts

• Film, TV and Radio

• Music and performing arts

• Publishing

• Software and digital content

Data shows that there is an increasing trend in people working from home in the Surf Coast Shire, with very strong growth in Torquay Jan Juc.
